EverybodyÕs got their theories on who killed JKF, for whatever reasons. Persistent threads include the CIA, who were still pissed about the Bay of Pigs; the mafia, who were very pissed about the harassment they received from Attorney General Bobby Kennedy, and who also had the right contacts in the CIA, since the agency farmed out several Castro assassination attempts to the goodfellas; Texas oilmen like Bush Sr., who didnÕt like KennedyÕs ideas regarding increased taxation on their business; both pro- AND anti-Castro Cubans (the pro-Castro ones angry about the CIAÕs half-assed invasion attempt, the anti-Castro ones miffed that Kennedy didnÕt provide air cover for the Bay of Pigs fiasco); and Richard Nixon, who was apparently backed by both the mafia and the CIAÑand was a very sore loser about KennedyÕs narrow election victory. I swear, digging through Kennedy assassination literature makes medieval scholarship look easy in comparison.
