Oh, yeah, the Christians have conspiracy theories, too. This one concerns the ÒMark of the BeastÓ that the Antichrist will supposedly force everyone to wear on his or her hand or forehead. Possible candidates for the ÒmarkÓ include laser tattoos and/or microchips that will contain your financial information (eliminating the need for physical bank or credit cards); the mobile tracking devices used to keep tabs on pets, cattle, and cars (think LoJack and similar devices); and those wonderful ankle bracelets that allow cops to keep paroled felons under home arrest. Either way, even if the appearance of such technology doesnÕt mean the Antichrist is setting up shop just yet, all those devices are really creepy in a ÒBig Brother Is Watching YouÓ kinda way.
